Big argument going on. Does a 1981 vette have 2 or 4 bolt main bearings ??????????
Colvin's book, "Corvette by the Numbers", page 109 states that Flint records reflect that 1981-1982 Corvettes received only 2-bolt applications. This is for block # 14010207. Also indicated is the remote possibility that a #14010209 block from Tonawanda might have found its way into a 1980-1982 Corvette.
As there were no engine choices in '81; the L81 was the only choice, and it was only rated at 190 or 195 hp....why would anyone think it was a 4 bolt main engine?
