Had an older tube and fin cooler was pretty large but trans was running210 degrees+ on the highway and in traffic. Have a th400 with an 8" converter.
I bought the biggest stack cooler B+M makes-good to nearly 29,000lb GVW, Lol and thats without the fan.
Couldn't make it work up front so I threw it out back.
I will probably re do the generic brackets and make up something nicer down the road but for now I just wanna drive the thing.
There's a lot going on back there! Took me a little while to sort out all of the plumbing and components.
Other than the longer AN line that you had to run, I think that's a great location. Is the fan a puller or pusher? I would think that it would work in either direction.
I have a HUGE engine oil cooler run between my a/c cond. and the radiator, I using a rad from a '89 F body V8, which fits my '72 mounts just fine....it's about 2" thick and about 10x12, adapted down to 3/8 trans hose/lines, keeps my 200 4r down at the 130f region even on 100f temps in the shade, air on the road in traffic must be 130f, Dual Spals running with a/c ON, top up.....
