Default Ignition wires?

Putting headers on a 383 rebuild and was wondering if it's better to put the wires back as original or over the valve covers. Either way, I have to buy the separators/looms.

Run them so there is the MOST distance between the wires and the headers you can get, and secure them so they can't flop around and get against a tube.

Not much help as to which way to run them I know, but as long as you are happy with the way they run and don't get burned on a tube, that's what matters.

Hey TimAT! I AGREE! I have headers and used the cheapo Spectra looms from autozone and got 8.5mm custom length MSD Wires and I have a good length on all wires. I didnt like the way the looms set the wires so I rearranged the actual wire holders so they lay flat. They are cheaper that the Billet and Moroso looms but the look good.
