water leak
in fact, it's a temporary fix for about nearly 7 years now....
thing is a real fix would require pulling the fenders and fixing the rust...
it's that traiangle shaped piece of metal stamping linking the windshild moulding to the A pillar....it's rusted out....
GENE :D :D
1. Are the kick panels properly positioned and screwed in? Apparently, it's not unreasonable for water to run behind the kick panel (according to Corvette Fever, I think), but if the kick panels are not positioned & secured correctly, they can let water into the passenger area.
2. Are all of the seams sealed up in the windshield / cowl area? I used caulking around all of the seams in that area and then covered everything with undercoating.
3. Are the plenums (I guess that's the term) at each end of the cowl area clean to allow drainage? I moved the plastic screen out of the way and was able to vacuum down in the plenums to remove any debris that made its way past the screens.
4. Are you sure the water is not starting out higher (like around the windshield somewhere)? I removed my inside winshield post trim and was happy to see only surface rust and no water leaking in.
5. Finally, I think this is the area you're talking about http://users.erols.com/jerryp58/corv.../vetteseal.JPG . It should have a rubber seal between the fender and the windshield. Mine was there on both sides, but it didn't look like a nice firm fit against the windshield so I used clear caulk there too.
OK, I know I've racked up several Bubba-Points here  , but I did go from a passenger side footwell full of water to a completely dry footwell :D
Hope some of this helps. Good Luck.
