I have a ? for any one I have a 69 bb vette with side pipes + on the right side it pops at a idle, but not on the left side, the pipes are 4 into 1 xs power it did this before out the back.

I could be wrong but If you dont have an exhaust leak Sounds like one side of the engine is running too lean.... dose your Carb have separate idle screws for each side? If so try turning the screw out in 1/4 turns keeping track of the position until it stops.... xs - power were the first company to market the later obx branded pipes the header flange is very thick and very unlikely to warp and leak.... but it wount hurt to look for a leak there and check bolt tightness...

I just installed all msd complete ignition, dis, 6al box, coil+ wires, holley d pumper 850,set all idle screws with vacuum gauge. just put on the pipes + checked heads + flange to be clean + flat. it poped with the stock manifolds on it .

Do you still have the heat riser on the passenger side? If you do check it for smooth operation. Sometimes they get stuck and will choke exhaust flow on that side.

I am running headers+side pipes 4 into 1, no heat riser.
