The PO "fix" on the coil wire caught up to me today and I need to replace the coil wire into the harness. It is plug showing the green and yellow wire.
Hi bhk,
Look for a small bolt in the very center of the connector. The connector is actually 2 halves.... 1 for the front lighting harness and 1 for the engine harness.
One the bolt is out you may still need to pry the connectors loose since originally they were set with a lot of sticky black sealer.
Regards,
Alan
Add...You're right Scott, I was thinking screw but it is a small bolt.
I believe it is a 7/16th bolt that holds it in. Be careful seperating the two halves. 40 year old plastic with the black sealer that Alan talked about.

Thanks Alan--appreciate that detail. I removed the extra long bolt with a 3/8" socket and universal. Ordered a new harness too.

The two halves came apart easy, it was working around the vacuum tank creating most of the frustration.
You will really like the new wiring harness. When I took mine off (engine swap) I was a little scared how the 40 year old wiring looked. It was in pretty rough shape.
