I always had the best results with KIT Caranuba wax (with sponge applicator). It's one of the cheapest waxes but the finish is always very shiny and swirl free!!
Have you ever done a side-by-side comparison between Zaino and other waxes on your car? I'd like to see first hand the difference on a white car, but first-hand stories would be good, too. I'm a skeptic still.
Tried Mother's had a nice finish I must say, but after trying Zaino, my Chief Waxer (the Wife) said that Zaino was much easier to apply. After 4 coats of Zaino the shine is Blinding. My paint is only 4 years old, that may have something to do with it.
Wife has used everthing on the shelf on her red Buick, now will only use Zaino, I feel like I'm making them rich.
I used to manage a car detail shop, and I have tried all kinds.
Meguiar"s is a good shine, however the 3 step Deep crystal system is a lot of work. The second step has zero cutting power and the "carnauba wax" uses alot of elbow grese to get it buffed and shiny. If you are not maticulious (sp?) there will be swirls and streaks.
I really enjoy a product by ClearKote called Moose Wax. Great shine, minimal amout of labor to use, and If necessary it has some cutting power to get out surface scraches, bird poop acid, and the like.
I used to detail cars and I have tried the things most every one else mentioned but the best stuff I've ever used is made by Blue Coral and is called Product X. You can't buy it in stores but can get it from some dealerships and many detail supply companies.
Zymol, because:
a) It just smells so damn good, I think my wife even thinks it's a turn-on when I come in smelling like it.
b) I really only want it to make it easy to wash the bugs / dirt / grease off easily. With all the time I've spent on my recent bodywork/paint/buffing, I dont need a wax to increase shine, just one to make sure everything cleans up easy.
I painted my car 6 years ago and it's never been waxed. It's only been wet once when I was caught in the rain at a show...Polished yes. I've tried about every polish out there. Meguiar's product line is #1 in mine opinion
Hey I can attest to the lemon pledge thing, particularly on black paint
