Autogear M-22
Is the Autogear M-22 wide ratio transmission supposed to have that signature whine?
Had one installed in my '70 recently and it doesn't sound noisy at all.
I don't race the car but wanted that "whine".
Anyone know?

Regular Muncie has 45 degree gear pitch an M-22 is 22.5 degrees hence the whine. Autogear makes 22.5 degree wide ratio gearsets for the Muncie 4 speed but also 45 degree gearsets are avalible. I would say if it dosent have at least a little whine, you have a 45 degree pitch gearset.
