Default Urgent!!! Newbie, need help! Overheated?

I'm from Germany and about 3 weeks ago my dream came true
I bought a 1975 stingray with a 383 stroker.

Now my problem
Last weekend the temperature went in the red and I wasn't able to stop for some miles.
After some cooling down, I checked the water and I had to fill up nearly a gallon

After checking the car at home, I found out that it was loosing water behind the right front tire.
Is that the heater core?

Now I fear for blown head gasket or worse damaged heads.
With engine running idle there comes a lot of fluid out of the left exhaust and I found kind of white/yellow foam in the oil caps.
What can I do?

And last when checking oil I found out that the dipstick tube loosened and oil spilled out.

It's a nightmare

If you are seeing a foamy, milky look to your oil, that would be a sign of coolant contaminating your oil. Does the fluid out of the exhaust smell like coolant? You can take a sample of your engine oil and have it tested.

For the dipstick tube, you can just clean it up and put some RTV silicone on it and re-install it to seal it.

Sounds like you blew a heater hose to me. By-pass your heater core to see if the coolant leak stops (you could probably just clamp your heater hoses off) and that your radiator level does not continue to drop anymore. I have installed brass ball valves that I can manually shut it if I want to by-pass the heater core. Good luck.

You can also pull the spark plugs and have a look at them. If a cylinder is pulling in coolant (blown head gasket) that plug will look different from the others.

Pull your oil dipstick and see if you are now overfilled. If so, you have coolant in the motor which is no good. Might be why your dipstick came out.

I did check my cyls some time ago for the same thing. Used a plug that you normally use to put compressed air in the cyls to change valve springs. Put some 100 psi in it and disconnected the top hose, left water in the thermostat neck up to the surface. If you see any bubbles appearing there or hear air blowing in the next cyl, you have a blown gasket.

The foaming and water out of the exhaust sure doesn't sound good.

Default Thanks

Thanks for your help.
Today I couldn't manage it, to check your advice.
Hopefully weekends

Is the heater located behind the black "wall"?
How is it dismounted and do I need any seals to put it back in place?

You're gonna want the assembly instruction manual (AIM); GM chassis service manual will also help.

Good luck.
