81 power antenna operation

81 power antenna operation
I replaced the mast in my 81 power antenna and also put in a new relay. Seems to be working fine but there is a few second pause before the antenna goes up or down when I turn the radio on or off. Is this the normal way it should operate? Just curious if anybody out there has a C3 with a power antenna and how it is working for them. many thanks, Tom
