Default Stupid wipers

I really hate to start another thread on this, but I'm at the point that I think there is a bad wire somewhere and just wanted to see if I missed anything.

1. I get 12V at the main wiper power feed, so that means that my dash override switch and my wiper limit switch are ok (Also checked fuse under the dash).

2. Removed the relay, tested and cleaned up the contacts and reinstalled the wires, but did not screw it back down. ( I can feel a slight click when I turn the wipers on).

3. 12v on the yellow wire at the front of the motor when ignition on.

4. Checked continuity between the switch housing and the steering wheel, then removed the switch and tested it on the bench per Willcox's video.

5. Wiper motor seems to be grounded ok.

6. Powered the wiper motor directly and they seemed to move up and down ok.

I hope to do some more troubleshooting on Sunday, I want to check what the connector going to the motor does (while disconnected from the motor) when moving the wiper switch. I did see somewhere else on here that says what voltages to expect at the 3 contacts, but I was not sure if this was with the connector attached to the motor of free hanging. Any other suggestions? Oh and I have a 72

Thanks.

Ok I think I was getting close before I broke my tach solenoid, but before I broke it, I measured the voltage at the blue wire on the wiper motor (while attached) and it stays at 12v even when I turn the wipers on. I tested continuity between the blue wire on the switch and the blue wire at the motor, and there is a connection, but that wire never goes to gnd when I turn on the switch. I ran an additional wire from the blue wire on the switch to the blue wire connection on the wiper motor, essentially creating an additional path to the motor, and it works! It almost seems to me that the tach solenoid is not allowing the blue wire to go to gnd, has anyone else seen this?
