Default Need opinions on Paint

I just assembled my upper and lower right hand control arms and I want the forum member opinions on weather I should paint the upper control arm ball joint housing? The only people that will probally ever see it is me and the tire guy so its no big deal if I don't. I just want to know what your guy/gals think. This is not an NCRS car and never will be. Also, what do you think of my work so far?? The only part I dislike about doing stuff like this is cleaning everything up to get it ready for paint.
John

If it was me, I would make it all match.

Yes. :yesnod: And I'd recommend a satin or semigloss black to contrast a little.

Very nice work. Sure wish you lived closer!

I painted mine a light silver so they looked the same but had some rust protection. they will probably get some light surface oxidation pretty quickly if you don't.

My sense is you want to paint it....so ......go ahead and paint it. If you don't, you'll always wished you did.

For a bit of contrast as well as detail. I painted the ball joint tops with a clear gloss and changed the bolts over to stainless allen head which I polished.
I also removed that ugly rubber flap and dressed up the recess where they were fitted with an aluminium strip I made up....fixed again with stainless allen heads. I think there's a pic of them in my web page.

Looks good. I just painted mine using POR-15 which has a gloss black look to it. Since you have mentioned it I may go out and put some clear on the ball joints.
