Has anyone ever seen this modification to help stop the shift handle from rattling.
I have seen lots of suggestions for eliminating slop in the shift levers and the reverse lock out, but this looks like it may actually do something about the inherent shift handle design.
Mine is terrible after about 3300 rpm and up I got a bit of vibration as well when I get some cash I'm planing on replacing my drive shaft along with the 2 half shafts to see if that fixes my vibration
I had a bad vibration coming through the shifter at certain (classified!) highway speeds. I replaced the "G" clips on the shift rods with fresh ones and it improved somewhat..
A piece of heat shrink tubing on the bottom of the T handle stops the rattle. Slides up and down with the T handle on the shifter shaft. Cant remember if I just found the right size and used it as is or shrunk just the top to the T handle. Its tight to the T handle and snug but loose on the shifter shaft.
