Hello folks. Well this aft I was putting my new braking system on the rear I was crawling around underneath her and discovered a broken off bolt from the spring holder plate up into the diff. Hmm, guess I'm gonna have to get the drills out again. I imagine that thing is in there tighter than*&^%, prolly seized, alum and steel combination. It is the front one of the three. I was gonna post a pic , but I either can't or don't know how

For future reference, when you need to remove those bolts. It is alot easier to loosen them when the weight of the car is on the spring, I'm not saying remove them completely just loosen them with the car on the ground/ramps.
Do it right
1. Soak the other bolts down with PB, Sea Foam, etc.
2. Drop the spring pad following directions from the manual.
3. If you ahve some bolt you can get a grip on to great. If not you eitehr need to use an EZ out or drill the bolt out and re-tap the hole
Fortunately these bolts don't typically just snap off. Upon reassembly use fresh new bolts and other hardware.
hmm, I like that, have a good time,lol..Thanks for the replies . I have it up on jackstands right now, but neighbor has a lift he said I could borrow, {but not for 2 months at a time, he put a stipulation on it, lol}, and I need to fix the exhaust from the cat back, as it has disappeared somewhere, so I am thinking this might be a weekend project. Still working on the brakes and now I found I have rear wheel bearing going bad, so I wanna get that fixed before I take it off the stands. On the positive side , no spare tire and no rear exhaust to work around.
Use a punch to mark the center of the remaining bolt. Soak it in minersl spirits and trans fluid. When you start to drill it out, using a bit size smaller than the bolt, use a left hand drill bit. The heat from drilling and the counterclockwise turning of the left hand drill bit may bring the broken bolt out. If so then you are good to go. If not drill it out and replace the threads with a Time Sert or Helicoil.
