No Spark any thoughts?
I've got a HEI distributor that I got from Advanced auto parts last year that isn't putting out any spark. The distributor is new, i just got a coil and put that on. That didn't work. I bought a cap and rotor and that didn't help. Think that it's the ignition module? I'm not sure what else could be going bad in an HEI. The motor is a '76 by the way. :D Thanks for the help guys.

I got it! I had power to the coil, that wasn't the problem this time. The problem was that the rotor I just put on there a month ago had lots of carbon on it. I wire brushed it and it fired right up. Go figure? Why do you think that the rotor is getting carbon buildup on it so fast?
