Low Brake pressure - causes?

Low Brake pressure - causes?
My brake pedal feels a little spongy the last couple of days. The master cylinder is full and none of the calipers seem to be leaking (although tonight I noticed some creaking in the back right caliper).
Any ideas?

I can't pump up pressure like I'm used to. It gets a little hard.
It is not completely dead - I can bring it to a 4 wheel lock slide pretty easy from speed but there is only half the travel in it than there usually is.

I'm not sure about the pads, going to half to check in the morning. However, this has happened pretty much as I can tell all of a sudden.
