Need to remove power window glass stuck in the down position
My passenger side window is stuck down. I have power to the motor so I'm assuming the motor is bad although I replaced motors, switches and regulators about 5 years ago. Normally the window is removed from the up position where the 2 nuts can be reached. It looks like I will have to make some holes big enough for a socket on an extension to reach through. Is there any trick that I'm missing?

You can remove the motor with the window down.
Once the motor is removed the spring will push the window up a little.
Keep one hand at the top of the glass as you remove the motor.

Thanks for the info. Mine is a 77 so maybe a little different. The 3 bolts holding the motor to the regulator go in from the back of the regulator so they are only an inch or two from the window. Also the only way to reach in is thru the access cover at the bottom and with the regulator in place maybe I could remove 1 bolt but I can't reach the other 2 with a ratchet or a wrench.

Just go slow and it should be okay.

Thanks donyue, but no luck with that. But I was able to get the window up. My friend suggested tapping the motor with a hammer while holding the switch. It worked. Goes up and down normally now. But I'm going to replace the motor anyway since it will probably happen again.
