Youre gonna love it!! The power increase and of course the noise

Hitting passing gear on the fwy suddenly while next to someone can startle them pretty good. Fun stuff.

Really wish Id done a blower on this last round of builds.
Great bang for the buck and of course the appearance.

Yes, Thanks for reply, I have a vortech on my 95, its really a great way to improve power without sacrificing original driveabilty. lots of fun. Not cheap on a c4, Surprises the ^&%* out of a lot of people. Going to wake up that 454 on the c3 even more.

I was drinking at the computer and woke up to an email that I'd won my auction. Turns out that I'd bid on a mp122 high helix blower and won. I got a smokin deal of 1001$ plus shipping. The guy emailed me and I also got the boost retard box for another $250. Don't know if I'll get it on this winter or next, but I can't wait. Truly happy that my bottom end is all forged. Needs to buy another cam and such. Congratulations on your purchase and good luck.

Cool, I just got the baby Weiand best suited to mid range power, engine is already modded but still stock compression so I should be okay. Might bring the meth injection on line. See ya.

I haven't gotten mine on, so no numbers, Magnusson says with the mp 122 1 psi of boost is worth an additional 20 rwhp. With that being said they sell blowers.

These mini blowers are fun and easy to set up. I run an older weiand 144 blower and make 400rwhp 410twtq with it at 5-7psi boost and mild set up. I've gone 11.6s @116mph with it at track with a stick trans. I even have a nitrous set up with it and made 500rwhp 560rwtq with a small shot of nitrous(no track times yet..but expecting mid 10s). These mini blowers love nitrous and with a little research it easy to get started with it. I've also seen guys running these mini blowers with e85 fuel and picking up some pretty good gains in power over gas. If e85 was more avaible in my area i would consider doing the swap.

Before the blower my car went 13.85@101mph with same motor and with the blower and new carb I went 11.67@@116mph.

Here is a picture of my set up. I run a glasstek 5" cowl hood so i didnt cut the original hood. With a 1/2" nitrous plate, 4150hp carb, and a 14x3" air cleaner with slight drop base I still have 3/4" of clearance.

Good Luck with the blower, if you have questions pm me and I'll try to help you if i can.

Ya I went with the 6-71. ( just ordered) Looks like it will be a chore, but after the install on my 1995 vortech ( 2-3 months) I am ready.
I am going to use the stock balancer and start off with a small pulley and build up from there looks like i will need a small cap distrib Like A 8572

You'll love the 6-71. I would advice you to replace your stock cast balancer (assuming it's stock) with an aftermarket SFI balancer, ATI, or others...if you want to really be safe, remove the crankshaft and double key it. On a 6-71'd small block, a stock balancer will break and spin on the snout even at moderate boost levels especially with a manual transmission.

I agree, bolting on a blower to a stock motor is one of the best bang for the bucks without sacrificing daily drivability.

Lars.... wasn't that engine also fairly well built? i do not believe a stock engine would pull those numbers even with a supercharger...

i wonder nore so what a stock l-48 with just an added supercharger could do? maybe 100hp over stock?
