So this is a stupid question. I am looking at the AIM and on the front sway bar it looks like the bends in the middle between the frame rails go up. I thought that the bends go down, and it seems like it needs to, to clear the radiator, but the body is off the frame right now so not sure. Any help in which way is up?
Also what about the rear?
Hi,
That picture isn't my car for once.
The bar I showed DOES have the slight bend 'down' just inside the frame rail/bushing mount.
The bend is a couple inches to the left of the lower radiator hose.
Look Carefully.
Regards,
Alan
The bend at the very end where the link goes through the sway bar is upward.
This ^. With my aftermarket bar, I installed it so that the ends would be parallel with the bracket on the lower control arm. I made a difference if I swapped the bar.
All, Thank you for the help, but still not sure. In the AIM it looks like it goes up, but after I installed it I am thinking the bend goes down. here are two photos with the bend up as indicated by the AIM. Is this correct or do I need to flip it over. Sorry for the bed phone photos.
Hi mac,
Compared to the stock bb bar in my picture I'd say it's upside down... but???
Is that an aftermarket bar or just aftermarket bushings and end links?
Regards,
Alan

It is a aftermarket bar and bushings. So it is upside down, thank you for the help.
