My new perfect chrome side exhaust covers are mounted and I think about the rock chip damage my old ones had.
Has anyone used some kind of clear protection on them?
I see Paragon has a product called Cleartastic static cling vinyl.
I get my parts from Willcox, I don't know if they have something.

At first, I thought you were talking about putting vinyl on your exhaust pipe, which would have obvious consequences....but the exhaust cover? Hmmmmm......it doesn't get nearly as hot as the exhaust pipe.....might work, give it a try.
Hi Charles,
I think that's a pretty good idea.
It's really just the front section of the cover that gets the stone chips so you could end the vinyl at the seam where the finned center section begins.
Certainly worth a try.
