Following my previous thread (being hit in the rear) I inspected the car and the shockabsorber had collapsed about 2" and came back. Are there shock absorbers supposed to this or do they need to be replace after this ?
I have never seen or had an insurance company pay for this shock absorber to be replaced...unless it was damaged itself. Knowing that they ( the insurance company) is liable for some time after the repairs are completed...I would think that if it HAD TO BE replaced due to an impact...I would have been replacing them for years and years now.
For what it is worth: If you have a question that deals with anything body related...post it in the paint and body section. If you want to post it again the general discussion...that's fine. But being body related...those that respond to posts in that area are more likely to respond faster.
