Default Exhaust System

One of my projects is to change the exhaust to a header back dual system but the things that are stopping me is that i always hear exhaust shops wont do it or the price of the kit is expensive for me to do it ( i have never installed before)... i just saw this kit in ebay and wonder if is worth it and how easy is to install or is it junk or if you can tell me what is the best way to go about it, I live close to east orlando in florida wonder if you guy had any better ideas and if this kit is good or not.
Here is what I saw on ebay
Hooker Exhaust System Header-Back Steel Chevy Corvette 305 327 350 Kit
eBay Product ID: EPID83276638
Price $179.97

Thanks
Ray

I would we weary about getting it off ebay, I helped a friend back in 09 put the hooker kit on his 77 L82, we did headers and the entire exhaust kit it less than 3 hours with no lift, everything went together nicely, he put flowmaster delta 40's on it and the only thing I dident like about it was the tips they sent, when installed they looked like wheel barrel handles sticking out of the back. but very nice kit! he got everything off jegs.

You realize you also have to buy the Hooker Headers that go with it? You have the facility to jack up the car and install it or have a local shop that will install it?

Just my 2 cents from experience, if you are going to go to the trouble and expense of a new system, make sure to replace your pipes with stainless steel. I did many years ago after many pipe replacements. I haven't had to touch anything for so long I can't even remember. I got my pipes directly from Allen's and they fit perfectly and the quality was tops!

I've done both types and unless your C3 is something that gets driven in bad weather aluminized will still last a very long time.

I just got done installing Headers and Corvette Central exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers.
I had to have a shop fabricate the collector to the center frame point.

As MelWff said you need headers and mufflers for that kit.

I did the Corvette Central 75 "off road" kit, 2 1/2" with Magnaflows. This is manifold back and the fit was perfect. Easy to install and no cutting.
