Hi Guys
Need some help here, when I drive my vette for about 30 miles my brake pedal travel begins to rise and if I go farther then the right side discs start to come on.
I let it sit a hour and the pedal returns back to original state.
I recently change the master thinking that it maybe going bad and now I have no brakes at all, the pedal goes to thhe floor and I cant get them to bleed by pump and bleed method
Can someone help me out here and give me direction on how to bleed my brake system the right way
You need to bench bleed that master before you install on car. Threads are here to walk you through the process. I'd also check the runout on your calipers, again, threads here if you need them.
So you did what every novice does and suspected the M/C when you had another problem entirely. The first problem is one of to things, the rubber line to the caliper is bad, or the M/C is adjusted improperly. From the description of the symptom, I would suspect the first. Change the rubber line and get the system bled out correctly.
When you remove the master to bench bleed it, be sure to check the push rod gap for the master cylinder per the service manual, sometimes they are not just plug and play. Like Wayne said, get all new rubber hoses on the car too.
