OBX, Hookers, and B&B seem to be the ones most people run.

I surfed the Forum and found used stuff (but top of the line)

Took and had it all ceramic coated and was done including mufflers for about 750 bucks

took a month or so to get it all collected up

I didn't get SS. I bought my Hooker Sidepipe set-up directly from Jet-Hot and had them coated there. Still going strong after 11 years. Just some pitting in the coating on the first tube right behind the front tires.

Default headers

Paragon has the orig. looking side covers for $2600. Pipes are $525s and Hedman headers for a small block are $200. at Summit racing. Big buck but a big bang in looks and resale. I have a 69 SB and have all of the above. My 76 had all of the above. Go to general area check out my76. Car sold for over $20K for a 76. Regards R

Hi...do you have a bigger photo of your car...torn on Factory sides as opposed to Hooker style.... And how is the heat with the ceramic....my bikes are great....but not sure on pipe downstream....does it still cook?

Thanks,

Here's a recent photo.

Even though these are Jet-Hot coated, the pipes get hot enough to burn. Good idea to wear long pants, I rarely do, but I get clipped occasionally when I'm not thinking. Engine runs cooler, engine compartment and cabin are cooler.

There is the horsepower to consider also. Factory side pipes still have a restrictive muffler, while the Hookers are good for some serious horsepower gains, depending on what you're working with.
