You can step up the cam a little, but not much. Your small 165cc heads and performer intake would make a long duration cam unhappy. I'd look at a split duration cam. About 220 dgr intake, 230 dgr exhaust. But the cam you have is a fairly good match to your other parts.

definitly clean everything. get rifle brushes and clean the oil passages .
and as you pointed out , use molly lube on the cam lobes and lifters. i saw a local "mechanic" put axle grease on the cam lobes. he said i didn't know how to put in a cam. he pulled it out the day after the customer got his car back, guess why.
