80 rear leaf link removal/replacement

Default 80 rear leaf link removal/replacement
Wondeing if anyone has an easy way to replace the rear leaf link bolts/cushions etc., got one end loose, but it scared the hell out of me...

P.S. while I've got it loose, I'm going to try to change the pinion snubber...

A good floor jack under the spring and a ratchet strap for security works. You didn't just unbolt it.....did you???

No, i had bottle jack under 1 end, jacked it high enough to release tension then backed it off, thought about the strap AFTER it went sproing!!! (washers and bushings flying!!!)

A lot safer using a floor jack and jack stands.
