Im sure this is probally covered here more than once and I have used the search function and found some helpful info. Can I vertically mount the amps to the aft bulkhead or will the screws hit the fuel tank ?

Im thinking of using a peice of 1/4" wood or so and drill holes for the amps and run counter sunk machine screws from the back side. I can probally attach the wood to the bulkhead with adhesive.

Do we win anything if we guess the year of your car?

You might have this much room

The tank sizes may certainly vary depending on the year, also that back wall may be farther back on verts for the roof storage????

Even over the ribs on mine there is a fair amount of room between the lip on the tank joint

You should always double check but there should be several inches of room behind that wall. Those pics are my 72, replacement tank but the correct size.
