I have oil under the covers ... A small amount pooled at the bottom of the covers.... Some pooled In the head bolt....Don't see any splashing with the filler cap removed.... There is a very thin film on the side of the rocker arms.... Just enough to feel, but not really get your finger tip wet..... Have 60 pressure at startup, and 35 at warm idle....500 miles on rebuild.
If the rockers were not getting enough oil, it would be killing the rocker pivot ***** and arms. There's oil showing under the covers, your pressure is good, be happy until things start causing problems. I understand wanting to get a jump on potential problems.
IF you're really curious you could pull the rocker covers and start it. See if you can get oil on the garage wall from the rockers. You should be able to make a real mess at idle.
With the engine running and valve covers removed, some rockers will shoot oil over the fenders, some will just seep out onto the rocker *****. This can fluctuate as the engine runs. You may well not see any oil splashing as the oiling holes are lined up with the rocker studs. After shutting down the engine and pulling the covers is there oil sitting on the rocker *****? If so then they are oiling. mike...
they make little cap or plugs that cover the tip of the rock where the oil comes out. this keeps it from making a mess. while you inspect and adjust your rockers.
just don't rev the engine......ask how I know that lol
