Msd digital ignition and stock tach syncronization
AND NO MATTER WHAT I CANT GET THE RPM GAUGE TO WORK. I 86'D THE FUEL INJECTION IN FAVOR OF A CARB, AND WAS ABLE TO REMOVE THE ECM AND ALL ELECTRONIC CRAP THEY PUT ON THE CAR. THE DIRECTIONS SAY USE ONE WIRE OR ANOTHER. NEITHER MAKE IT WORK. i UNDERSTAND IT SHOULD REQUIRE A SQUARE SIGNAL COMING FROM THE ORIGINAL COIL. BUT IT DOESN'T BUDGE WHEN I JUMP TO THE WIRE THAT MSD SAYS WILL EMIT A SQUARE WAVE SIGNAL. tHE LOCAL SPEED SHOP SAID I NEEDED A ADAPTER TO MAKE IT WORK. SO I PURCHASED THE PART8920 I BELIEVE. AND HOOKING IT UP EITHER WAY THEY RECOMMEND STILL NOTHING! SURELY SOMEBODY HAS GONE THROUGH THIS, PLEASE HELP!

I know in some of our cars you need to bypass the in-line tach filter to make it work.
But that should only be the case in the older C3's (pre-HEI).
The gray wire from the MSD 6AL should be connected to the tach wire that was originally connected to HEI distributor.
