If you still have a problem after bleeding the brakes and have vacuum, you might want to check you have the right booster that match’s the master cylinder .. booster rod length is different between early and late c3’s

I believe the Booster is incorrect for '74 model as well as the Master Cylinder. Check Casting dates.

Engine Masters (on YouTube) did a test of a bunch of different air cleaner configurations a while back and that triangular foam air filter set up was by far the worst of the lot. Start looking for something better.

Finished removing upper and lower A-arms, ball joints from the driver side of my 69 convertible. Since most of the parts have been on the car from factory, they did not easily come out. But I badly wanted to overhaul the front suspension with new components for a better ride as the rear suspension has already been done.

Since your rebuilding your front suspension, I recommend you add Speed Direct spreader bar. The front suspension “towers” that the upper control arms mount to tend to collapse inward with age and miles. The result is there is less room for spacers used to align the suspension correctly.

If if you have a big block the Speed Direct bar may not fit. I had to put an 1/8” spacer between the water pump and the fan to clear the fan. No problem with the p/s pump.

The entire front end is noticeably more solid and ridged with the spreader bar. I highly recommend it. I have no financial interest in Speed Direct.
