I purchased and installed the Holley Terminator EFI and was more or less happy with it. I was not satisfied that I could not control the timing (although it has these capabilities) so I bought the ECU controlled distributor much like the ones you find on 82-mid 90's GM cars. I also had to buy the 4 pin style coil. When I hooked it up the coil got very hot then started smoking. I took the coil back and got another one.
Here is how I had it wired the first time:
The Black connector was hooked directly to the module on the distributor.
The gray connector has 2 gray wires, one is larger than the other. I hooked the large gray wire to 12V +, then hooked the smaller gray wire to ground.
Good to hear you're running. I would've had to look it up but you could have tried either way. The logical way to test is the larger wire for power. I know I've crossed them before without damage but it just doesn't start so you were safe to experiment.
