Default Engine bay and suspension

1976 Vette have the motor out. What to install a 454 engine had a 350 before. First should i sand blast the engine bay or is there another way? Should i replace all the bushing and tie rods Etc? Is ther any kits i can buy to do this? Any help is a appreciated.

Why not just clean it? Steam cleaner or Simple Green and a brush. You want to remove the dirt and gook, not the paint.

you would not believe the mess you would make sandblasting . on really heavy grease you can use oven cleaner, but be careful of your skin and paint.

Sandblasting won't work very well with grease and grime covered parts. The sand bounces off and doesn't have a chance to do the impingement damage it's supposed to do. Took a lot longer than it should have to figure that out!

Without the engine in the car, you'll need a spring compressor to lower the A arms. You might get a big surprise if you unbolt a ball joint with no weight holding the spring in place.
