Valve covers
I would like to add aluminum valve cover to my 79 l48. I can not find ones with the three holes. Any suggestions? I need to do a tune up in the spring after storage, I plan to keep it stock, what gives the best performance for a stocker.

I assume you don't have the factory motor in the car? unless I'm mistaken (which is possible), you have 3 bolt valve covers you have Vortec heads on the motor---IF thats the case, you will need to look for valve covers specifically for the Vortec heads.

He said he has an L48, so it should have perimeter valve covers. If, in fact he does have Vortec heads and centerbolt valve covers, he can buy adapters to be able to use perimeter valve covers. These adapters are quite available and work well.
