electronic speed pickup for TKO-500
A few years ago I converted my automatic 73 vette over to a manual by installing a tko-500 transmission. At the time of the install I stuck with the mechanical speedo setup.
Now the urge to tinker has taken a strange turn and I want to begin working on a project that will require the use of an electronic(analog or digital is fine) speed pickup. This brings me to my first problem of not being able to find the electronic speed pickup. I was hoping someone on here might be able to direct me to the part I am looking for? The second part of my problem is a bit strange in the fact that I want to keep the mechanical pickup in tact and connected to the speedo in the dash and add the electronic pickup for other uses. Does anyone know if the TKO-500 has this ability? If not I guess I'll have to look in to other methods of determining the car's speed.
