Anyone who has had one or knows of one.
Do they leak & how much heat comes through in direct sun light.
Down here in florida heat & water are big issues.

My buddy has one, so far no problems, but the guys at Astro are a bunch of dicks.

They are not very high quality, I have yet to hear of one that worked out of the box. I know I had to work on mine for several hours to get it to seal adequately, after that it sealed well - for awhile. - the part is just a dark tinted acrylic and as such will do little to keep the interior cool - it will get quite hot in Florida I would think.

the fasteners are very chintzy if you ask me - especially the rear mounts which I would be afraid of if I got rear ended - they are above and behind your head - I could visualize poking a hole in your noggin if you got rear ended.

Yes, it's all true. They're kinda cheezy, and they do leak.
But, with that said....for $300.00 you can get a one piece targa top for a C3.
Currently I know of no other vendor who supplies such a item, even the big 3 Corvette companies out-scorces through them.
I must admit, I wouldn't use mine in heavy rain (actually I don't even use the car) but I like the option to put this on.
They also supply a little more head room, along with a more "Open Air" overall feel to the inside of the car.
I use mine, more as the Illinois weather chills up, allowing me to drive throughout November, and again in early spring.
With the one piece design, they do supply a limited advantage over T-Tops.
FYI - I'm not sure why your not using your tops, but my driver side has broken glass, and the Astro Top was a quicker and cheaper alturnitive to new T-Tops, and with that said, did you know that Astro Top also refurb's T-Tops with the acrylic glass, for around $500.00 a set, which is a little under half of what new ones costs. I'm gonna go that route next year since I "over-spent" already this year.
Another option are the "RainCoat Tops", these are made of heavy black canvas (which you can roll up and fold) and attach using your current t-top's mounts, along with (this I don't like) velcro attached along the front and back upper pillars, for about $250.00.
The Rain Coat might be your best bet to beat the Florida heat.
Although I can't supply any user info on this.
GOOD LUCK
