Default headers and sidepipes isolution

Hi, my name is Serhan, i am from Turkey, i bought my dream car at this year September,
i saved money for him last 3 years,
68 corvette stingray convertible 502 cui with sipepipes and manual transmission, i love my car. last month it is burned because of an oil leakage from oil pressure cable to the sidepipes, i unfire it very quickly with a fire extinguisher, but some cables and fiberoptic cables damaged, the repairman made him ok again after 1 week. now i am thinking about to isolate the headers and sidepipes. i have been thinking about this before i bought this machine, but after burn, i started to think about it forcefully.

can you please tell me that isolution's pros and cons,
my thoughts,
pluses:
1) the heat inside the hood can be lower than unisolated one, so cables will be more lastlonger in comparison with unisolated one,
2) if some oil cable or reservuar leaks oil to the headers or sidepipes, because of they are isolated no burn condition occurs.
3)feel yourself more secure and relax, because now fire is very close if one reservuar or cable leaks oil, they can easily come to the exhaust, and burn.
4)the costs of this action is not very expensive.

cons:
1)noise lowered a little bit, i dont want this, but it is arrangeable from sidepipes silencers, you can increase it again, but i can not feel ok about this, noise is very important.
2)oil can stick on the isolution material and it is hard to clean this oil on the isolution material,
3)if oil leaks on this material, you must be aware and understand this, because, if you can not understand this, motor can be broken, because no oil left on the motor.
4)the headers and sidepipes cosmetic ruined with this isolators,

what is your opinions, did you make this isolution on your c3s, how many years you drive with or without isolution? can you write pros and cons.

i try not to stuck on traffic, and after burn, my oil pressure dashboard cable change with an iron one, and replace can not to leak on exhausts.

thanks for this forum.

Typically oil leaks, other than the line going to the gauge, start off slowly and you have more than enough time to correct the leak before its gets to the point of becoming a fire hazard. Check the car once a month for signs of any oil leaks.

It sounds like your talking about header wrap material. I don't have experience with header wrap, but have read that it can cause unwanted rust if it gets wet and not dried out. It also looks to be a real hassle to get it all wrapped up but I think it would work for what you want it for.
Don't know what you have available in Turkey but this is where I got my headers coated with ceramic coating here in the US.

It is a very durable coating both inside and outside of the pipe and lowers pipe and under hood temperature significantly.
No change in sound quality and it has a nice polished aluminum looking finish.

I think header wrap would collect oil and make the problem worse

I think the best thing to do would be to convert to an electric gauge

thank you for the answers, my problem is not about only oil pressure gauge's hose pipe, i am afraid of all oil related hose pipes and oil reservuars, steering wheel hidrolic, steering will box, steering wheel hidrolics hose pipes, oil hose pipes, gas hose pipe, i see that jet-hat ceramic coating better than isolution material, thank you, i examine and ask about it.

Reducing heat helps reduce the chance of fire, but nothing like simply fixing your leaks.

Even with coating a fire could start, so best start replacing lines. Just my 2 cts
