Parking brake
I have a 79 and my parking brake light is staying on. I went to get it inspected and will not pass. I pull it up all the way and won't stop as required. Shoes are good and went in and opened the adjustment screw in rotors and backed off 8 turns, is the adjustment need in the y cable? Thanks

The light is controlled by a switch at the hand brake lever under the centre arm rest, it has nothing to do with the cable or shoes and everything to do with adjustment of the switch itself, easy done. Adjust your shoes and cable so they work properly and then adjust the switch. It should go off after the ratchet has been passed and the lever is at it's lowest.
