Default ront end squeaks

15,000 miles on rubber control arm bushings. Could they be the source of squeaking? Other ideas appreciated.

Are they rubber or poly? When does it squeak, always, going over bumps, turning, breaking?
How old are the other suspension parts? Guessing about the same if you took the A-Arms off the car.

Need some more info to pinpoint. Make sure everything is lubed too. Lots of lube points in the front suspension. If you have rock the vehicle, does it squeak? May be the easiest way to find out the location.

Rubber. Bouncing front end and rough roads yield squeaks. First several seasons were noise free. {1500 mile a year vehicle }

Have someone push while you are listening. Could be the bushings but so many other things squeak in the front end its hard to pinpoint unless you know about where the noise is coming from.

Also... if the bolts that hold the cupped washers for the rubber control arm bushings were tighten with the front end in the air...and the suspension not at ride height...this can cause for them to squeak and also possibly cause the bolts to back off also.

I need to drive to you , I have a small squeak in my front driver side area I am going crazy finding .. Only happens over some road surfaces makes me nuts.

Ok back to OP . .

It can be very irritating chasing down these squeaks . I know you say it is in the front but check to be sure your exhaust is not rubbing any metal surface. I can not even remember how many front end noises where a muffler clamp rubbing the frame or some other area squeaking away cause people to say my front end squeaks

Ok, here's one for ya. If your car has an automatic trans maybe you had the same problem I had way back when..... I had a '95 Jeep which was notorious for having leaky trans lines where they attached to the radiator (trans cooler). There was kind of a coupling in the lines to allow it to flex. Anyway, developed a squeak in the front end everytime I went over a speed bump (slowly) or up onto a curb etc..... Turned out that the trans fluid was leaking on one of the bushings and it was squeaking as a result. Who knows, maby the friction modifiers in the fluid caused it. I replaced the lines and cleaned area and everything was fine.... for a couple of months until the new lines started leaking. Once I replaced the lines with an aftermarket (no couplings to leak) line and cleaned the bushings (again) the squeak went a way. I still have that Jeep (which I bought new in '95) and still no squeaks...... with over 250K miles on that old Chrysler V8.

I have to try to find these noises and often times it is a ROYAL PARTY!!!

I have had several be due to the crap in the lower control arm that was or has been rubbing with the coil spring... and when it was all removed, cleaned out and painted to prevent rust....that fixed the problem.

"Something funky" going on due to a previous accident and the coil spring rubs against the hole in the cradle. More times than I can count I have encountered that one.

Spot welds broken and a split or slight tear in the steel that can flex and make a wicked noise in the cradle area. I have encountered that several times. A "popping noise" when cornering
Sway bar and or end links...that has occurred.

The shaft of the shock absorber is touching/riding against the hole that it passes through...due to the rubber bushings are worn or not tight. It has happened...but not often.

Incorrect motor mount installed and it is not fitting tight against the perch. SO there is an air space that allows the motor mount to actually move front to rear...and this will eat-up your transmission mount. Due to most mounts listed for a Corvette with the safety catches...they are WRONG and too wide...by about 1/8".

Ya it is a weird one , you can rock the car to death no noise... Hit a jarring bump like a low man hole cover and squeak !!! I am going rack and pinion in spring , and refreshing a-arms and springs ,, I hope I find the issue your ideas are solid thank you ..
