Did a search of threads and some say this and some say that. Here's the particulars
BB w/ 625 hp at flywheel
Crower solid roller w/ 242-250 duration @ .050
3.70 gear
25.5 tall tire
Can't stand the close ratio m21 anymore on the freeway It's time for a change.
What 1st gear and gear splits do the you guys that have a Richmond 6 speed recommend? Will be using for street and some track days.

Reason: incorrect speeling
Rule of thumb is around a 10:1 1st gear overall ratio. So the 2.77 1st gear 6 speed would be about perfect. The only downside might be the 5th to 6th split is a little wide, 1:1 to 0.62. But your BBC shouldn't have any trouble pulling 2100rpm on the highway.
Thanks Gary. I was going to pm you about this. I will be making a removable trans crossmember. I read your replys to other treads on this. Thanks much for your input. Any other suggestions from you on this would be greatly appreciated
Richmond gear changed hands about a year or 2 ago. Prices and availability are all over the place. You might want to check Summit, Jegs, SDparts, Pace, etc on those issues.
You'll also want the 67 Hurst shifter T handle if you want it to look original. It bolts right up to the supplied Long shifter.
