don't know if this is the right place to post this, is there a manual or link for a frame off restoration
It is all depending on what type of restoration you are planning on doing. Original or other type. Other type being upgrades in materials used to preserve parts such as powder coating and other coatings that were not put on parts originally from GM...and parts that are more advanced in design than what came on the car originally...such as fiberglass rear springs, urethane or Delrin bushings, etc.
Original restoration is basically restoring the car back to the way GM built it with all of its flaws and issues that may show up later due to the design of some pasts that can fail ion time due to the materials used in manufacturing.
When and if it comes to paint and body issues. You can post it in the "Paint and body" section.
Go the the red task bar and click on "Forums"...then scroll down to "General Corvette"...then scroll down to the "Paint and body" area.
"Factory Correct Restoration" is in the "General Corvette" area.
There a few books on the market that I purchased and this one is a pretty good guide. He goes into fairly good detail on how to tear the car down and what to watch out for when removing parts in a step by step fasion with lots of pictures.
