I am looking for recommendation on a engine rebuilder in CT for my 1970 350 engine.
Thanks
My first choice would be Bill Carlquist, Carlquist Competition Engines. He built a great motor for my 69. He is a terrific guy with great people skills but no bull either. I can't recommend him highly enough. He does resto type engines as well. I know he built a stock L88 around the time he did my 502. Tell him Bill Van Orman told you to call. He is just outside of Waterbury. I googled him recently and couldn't find one negative comment. He also has a dyno in the shop to break the new engine in properly and without fear.

HI 7007VETTE,
Leifert Automotive Machine CO has been building motors since the 60:s. If you wanted to be a winner Larry did your motor. Larry Leifert rebuilt my 70 L46 back in the early 90's, still going strong.Larry's got to be in his late 60's.
Performance Engines By The Kid - Torrington - is another top builder. Billy the Kid made his claim to fame in the 80's building bulletproof high HP snowmobile engines. Billy's been building engines 20. 25+ years. Soltis Speed Equipment is another. Soltis's dad still races dirt track at Lebanon Valley Speedway; he's in his 70's. He and his son have been building race engines for ever. The last I know off is Carlquist Competition Engines of Watertown. Bill builds small blocks to big; stock to mega horse. He has built many quarter mile class winners in the north east. I believe he's dabbled in NASCAR...
Good luck!
