Default Power Antenna Problem

The power antenna was working just fine until a week ago then all of a sudden nothing. No up, no down, no noise, -------nothing. I thought that maybe it was a fuse or circuit breaker. I have the original owners manual for my 78 SA but I cannot find a fuse or circuit breaker indicated for the antenna on the fuse chart. Thanks in advance, Bob

Sometimes the leads get corroded and sometimes the antennas just fill up with water and rust. If it's the leads, just shine 'em up with fine sandpaper...if it's water....time for a new antenna. If it's something else....???????

It is on the same 20 amp fuse as the clock, lighter and dome light. There is a relay that is mounted by the emergency brake handle. When you turn the radio off and on you should be able to hear it click. If you can hear it click then your problem is in the antenna or rear wiring. If you can not hear it click then your problem is fuse, radio, relay or forward wiring.
