@Vettedap - What tire size tires do you have on your TT2's? Are the rims 8.5 Inch wide?

I previously used 265/50-15 T/A's ( back in the 80's ) tight fit on rear with stock t-arms but can't decide to keep with this size of go to 17" or 18" wheels
Who's 265/50-15 tires did you use? & how was the fit?

Here my 8.5 x 15 TTO's after I had them polished... It was quite a Job for the Person that did it. The grooves from the lathe of these new Chinese production TTO 309 from "wheelpros" are quite deep, so it took a lot of sanding to get the surface smooth before you could polish. That was many hours of work... Pictures after polishing / before....

Looks good, JK. Have you lowered the front? Mine sits higher with stock Gymkhana springs.

I have not lowered it yet. The front will probably stay where it is the rear I will lower.
I have a full VBP performance plus kit in it so it makes it really quick to change the ride height.
I think I had it set to factory height dimensions before but really don't remember. It got cold last night so I didn't spend a whole lot of time playing with it.

It took 6 months for my 71 to drop after I put new springs in. A year later it has dropped to where I wanted it and has settled in at a fixed height.

I would let it sit on the springs for a while and see if it's where you want it.

Here are some Pictures of my 71' that I made today... Tires in the front are 225/70/15, in the back 235/70/15. The rims are the Original 8 x 15 Rally Wheels, of which the dish of the wheels in back have been professionally widened (hope I wrote that right, I am German) .7 inches to the outside. Obviously I like the ballon tire look. Next will be that I Mount These tires on my 8.5 x 15 TTO's. But I also really like the cool stock look of the Chrome trim steelies. I am torn...

Coy's 18 x 9.5, Rival S 275 rear & 245 front.
Relocated emergency cable brackets both sides and longer wheel studs on the front.
Was lowered on 10 " rear bolts and had to raise an inch to clear the fiberglass spring end.
Autocross next Sunday and see how the perform.

Beautiful! I got the same in their C5 chrome which goes well on California Red. I had to use a .22" spacer in the rear to keep from tagging the inner well. With RE-11s its like riding on rails now.

What backspace did you get up front?

1/4 " spacer front and rear with longer studs in front.
5-1/2 backspace both.
Added some rear camber to clear lowered fiberglass spring.
Front tire will rub stabilizer at full lock but not a problem.
