Default Check out my Steering Ball Stud.

This is the old ball stud that connects the pitman arm to the relay rod. This, in combination with my worn out tie rod ends, should restore my steering back to "little or no slop" condition.:yesnod: :yesnod:

This view is of the most worn portion of the stud

This is just another view of the same spot on the stud

This is 180 degree from the above pictures. You can see where the ball stud seats rest against the ball stud in the relay rod.

Damn John, you screwed up.
Where will the fun be in driving an old vette that doesn't throw you into the next lane when you hit a bump? There will be no challenge in driving it now!

Show us some pics of the 'new' front end when done.

Just a few words of warning for you. I had a front-end kit installed about 1,000 miles ago. I am still not used to not fighting the steering. And it is very disconcerting to have the car go straight down the road. Really takes some getting used to. And I am not being entirely facetious. Strange feeling to have no slop.

A loose motor mount will chellenge you the same.
Each time you get on it, the engine torques and throws the front end over.
Sadly, I think I have become used to driving it this way.

Three years of resto should erase those memories.

I can't wait to drive it but am waiting on a new left lower control arm to complete my project.
