I am sure it is good stuff. However, it is not as economical to buy around here as more conventional race gas. Where I am, the place sales that stuff for $28 for the 5 gallon 100 octane jug (over $5 a gallon) or $38 for the 110 5 gallon jug (over $7 a gallon).
You can buy the 100 octane racing gas for $3.39/gallon at a BP station and pump it right into your car. If you want the 110, you can go to another place and buy it for $4.39. You have to pump it into a can though.
Bottom line, you are paying a lot for the container. If you buy it by the 55 gallon drum, it may be a lot cheaper. I just do not have a place to store a 55 gallon drum.
Thanks guys! I picked up 5 gallons to try out, my motor (10.5:1) just doesn't get happy enough with 93 octane and the local hot rod shop suggested I use a mix of this and the 93. The local gas station that sells the other fuel is a pain to get to sometimes and the mixture I'll use is about the same either way price wise. I'll see how it goes next week when I get it back.
If you had to do it over again would you go lower compression (10/1 or so)so it runs on 93? I had 10/1 with alum heads in my 383 and had no problems with 93. Might have been able to go 91 but never got the chance to find out. :cry

I probably would have gone lower and done a few things different. I got this motor from a friend of mine who owns the local Vette shop, doing that saved me a big hassle and a little $$$. The motor has power out the butt, but it's expensive to gas it up and I would like to go a little farther than local cruise nights without getting a loan for gas money :D I've run it on plain 93 a little but don't want to wreck anything inside by not feeding it right, I've already spent WAY more than I should have. :cry
Every thought about trying to put thicker gaskets in it? Depending on what thickness you have now you might be able to drop a 1/2 point. Of course I know that is a pain in the butt but is do-able in weekend or 3 days.
