Crazy radio
1975 -What would cause the battery gauge to show full charge (needle is pinned) when the radio is turned on? Gauge goes back to normal when radio is turned off, and functions properly otherwise. Thanks for any suggestions.

If it does not show that drain with the radio OFF, a short to ground would have to be internal to the radio and after the power switch. But, if it was a short to ground, the radio fuse would surely blow.
Could be some defective wire or component inside the radio or could be an improper hookup for power to the radio.
