Default Torque specs

80 L82. Can anyone tell me what the inner tie rod end and power steering valve pitman arm torque specs are? Also what's the best manual to get this kind of information from? Thanks.

The best manual is the Assembly and Installation Manual. It runs about $25 and is available at most vette parts stores. I think Eklers has them too. For my 75, inner tie rod nuts are torqued to 40-60 INLB (note that this is inch pounds and not foot pounds) which is about 5 FTLB, in otherwords finger tight. The adjuster clamp on the tie rods get 25-35 FTLB, the nut attaching pitman arm to the steering gear gets 160 to 210 FTLB, while the pitman arm to power steering valve gets 42-47 FTLB.
