If you want your car to look 'original', leave it on. It only draws about 1 HP and the air injected into the exhaust outlets does reduce pollutants. If you want a 'clean' look in the engine compartment, pull that A.I.R. stuff off. But, save it ALL because you, or someone else, may need it sometime. Or, if your state/county has emissions testing, you will likely be REQUIRED to have it on your engine.
If you pull it off, you will have to plug the air injection ports and clean up plumbing and wiring.
Personally, I haven't had to deal with that issue. But, if I did, and the equipment was still functional, I'd probably just leave it in place.

Mine is still there along with all the plumbing but I removed the belt to keep it from turning. I've kept it just for the fact I'm trying to keep everything original. I'm rethinking that, though, and it will probably come off to be stored when I replace heads and do some other mods.
I wish I had the one that came with mine in case I ever need it for the visual check. Every year I wonder what will happen if they open the hood and look.
