355ci, 4.11 ratio, 25.68" tires, 700-R4 automatic and I made mid twenties. That probably something like 20mpg is U.S gallons.

Most of the time around the city, I am getting about 10-12 mpg. Just recently got back from 2500 mile trip ( Stars & Stripes Tour) and got about 14- 15 out on the road. My '75 is original engine (350 ci, L-82) and has about 63,000 miles on it.
Your mpg will depend on what year yours is. I have seen this posted before and seems like 80-82's get better mileage (20-25) and most earlier C3's get about what I am getting. Anywhere between 7 mpg to 15 mpg.

lbell101,

I love the photos in your signature. The car looks great going that fast. Only problem is - how did you take the photo with the car going that fast without a driver? :D

No seriously, the photo is great. How did you get that effect?

Hey Rich...thanks!
Actually, it's pretty easy. Just select the area around the car and use the Wind Deformation function in Paint Shop Pro. It's not my original idea, I copied what some other members had already done!

Hubes,

The L88 is a big block with very long duration cam which doesn't make for the best mileage. A more modest cam would give much higher mileage. Overall gearing is 2.53:1

The 69 350 with 373's is getting 14-15 mpg combo driving. That's cruising 40mph@2000 rpm, and 70-75 mph @ 3100-3300 rpm!
Runs on 89 octane fine. I ownder what it will do when I put a xe268 and Torquer heads on?

I'd say about 8 in the city, never been on the highway, but that's with a lot of moderate to heavy throttle :D . As soon as I get my new speedo/odometer cable installed I'll be able to exactly what I'm getting.

20 mpg at 75-80 mph. Gotta love OD. Down to about 12-14 around town.

Not bad for a carb and 10:1 compression.

I was getting 16mph on my way back from Iola, haven't used a tank in the city to find out for that. Probably better than highway since I was at about 3200rpm and I don't rev that high in the city unless there aren't any cars around. Might be the same now that I am starting to get used to the power.
