My question is, assuming these fit ( I have newer !2007 GM crate engine - not stock engine), would either of these be a good upgraded from what is already on the engine? Currently it has a GM HEI distributor which is in fair condition. It works ok, but might these be a good deal and offer any improvements?
Any properly working distributor, properly set, will give you everything you need for a street engine. Your stock HEI is fine; spend a little time and money getting your advance curves right and call it good.
